Shaft Coupling
Shaft Coupling is a mechanical part used to connect two shafts (driving shaft and driven shaft) in different mechanisms to rotate together to transmit torque. In high-speed and heavy-duty power transmission, some couplings also have the functions of cushioning, damping and improving the dynamic performance of shafting. The coupling is composed of two parts, which are respectively connected with the driving shaft and the driven shaft. General power machines are mostly connected with working machines by means of couplings.
The overall dimension of the coupling, i.e. the maximum radial and axial dimensions, must be within the allowable installation space of the machinery and equipment. It should be convenient to install and disassemble, do not maintain, maintain long cycle or easy maintenance, change the wearing parts, do not move two axes, and adjust the alignment easily.
